'Matrix' Reloads for its World Premiere

The world got its first look at the "Matrix" sequel, "The Matrix Reloaded," at its Los Angeles premiere Wednesday night, with all hands on deck.

Stars Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Hugo Weaving, Jada Pinkett Smith (with hubby Will), Monica Bellucci and the very pregnant Carrie-Anne Moss made their way down the red carpet, as did Demi Moore, Lucy Liu, Sandra Bullock (who costarred with Reeves in "Speed") and supermodel Heidi Klum, say reports.

For those living under a rock, "Reloaded" is the follow-up to 1999's sci-fi breakthrough "The Matrix" and is arguably the most anticipated movie of the year. It's also the first of two sequels, with the third "Matrix" installment, "Revolutions," due out in November.

Filming of the back-to-back movies took place in Australia -- though there is a special, elaborate multi-car stunt sequence that was shot on two miles of specially built freeway in California.

Speaking hastily at the premiere, Reeves, 38, told reporters that his role of Neo, the computer hacker who saves the world, has "given me so much. As an actor, as a performer, in my life, the challenges that it had, the people that I got to work with -- it was beautiful."

Co-star Moss, 35, who plays fellow rebel Trinity, said: "I just really love playing this character and being part of this team."
