Sizemore Faces 16 Counts over Fleiss
Actor Tom Sizemore had 16 new misdemeanor charges filed against him on Wednesday by Los Angeles prosecutors, who accuse him of allegedly hitting, harassing and threatening his ex-fiancee, Hollywood Madam Heidi Fleiss, over the past year, reports the Associated Press.
The former star of CBS's "Robbery Homicide Division" and "Saving Private Ryan," 41, also was ordered to stay away from Fleiss and surrender any weapons in his possession, City Attorney's spokesman Frank Mateljan tells Reuters.
Fleiss, also 41, reportedly is a witness in an unrelated domestic-violence case against Sizemore, stemming from alleged assault incidents with another girlfriend last November.
Mateljan says Sizemore is accused of making about 100 harassing phone calls to Fleiss in a one-year period.
Charges include intimidation of a witness, vandalism, threatening to inflict injury to a person or property, corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition and making obscene phone calls.
Sizemore's spokeswoman, however, claims to Reuters that Fleiss invented the allegations against Sizemore because she was angry over their breakup.
"Heidi Fleiss, a convicted felon and prostitution madam, is fixated and obsessed with Mr. Sizemore and her allegations are against him are untrue," the spokeswoman said. "Her defamatory charges are a pathetic attempt to get back at Mr. Sizemore for ending their relationship."
There has been no immediate comment from Fleiss, who had spent 21 months in jail for pandering, money laundering and tax evasion.
Sizemore's arraignment is set for June 6, says AP. He faces up to 13 years in prison if convicted on all the charges.
