Actor Tom Sizemore Surrenders to Cops
Tom Sizemore, star of "Saving Private Ryan" and the axed TV drama "Robbery Homicide Division," was arrested Thursday for allegedly threatening his ex-fiancee, former Hollywood Madam Heidi Fleiss, in order to prevent her from testifying in his domestic-violence case.
Sizemore, 41, faces charges of assaulting ex-girlfriend Brooke Ford and trying to intimidate another witness, Kaarl Waldrop, in incidents stemming from his arrest in November, Reuters reports.
Last week, Sizemore surrendered to Los Angeles police after they issued a warrant for his arrest. He was released Friday on $100,000 bail, a city attorney's spokesman said.
The court also issued a protective order to keep Sizemore from contacting Fleiss. A previous "keep-away" order was issued after Waldrop said Sizemore threatened him for refusing to give false testimony, says Reuters.
Prosecutors tell the news service that they are considering additional misdemeanor charges against Sizemore, who already faces counts of battery, making criminal threats and dissuading a witness. Sizemore has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
In a statement, the actor's publicist said: "Tom Sizemore and Heidi Fleiss have had a turbulent and unhealthy relationship. For his own well being, Mr. Sizemore had decided to move on. It is regrettable that Ms. Fleiss has elected to publicly display her anger at Mr. Sizemore's decision. Mr. Sizemore is confident that he will be vindicated in court."
