DISPLAYED: Michael Jackson briefly dangled a barefoot baby over the railing of his fourth-floor hotel window in Berlin on Tuesday, while fans watched from below, reports Reuters. The singer, 44, is in the German capital to receive a lifetime achievement award at a ceremony on Thursday night. As described by the news service, Jackson opened his room window at the Adlon Hotel and with one hand held a baby (with a white towel over its head) briefly over the metal railing. He also reportedly showed off another child who was about four or five years old. A spokeswoman told Reuters that Jackson was traveling with his children, of which he has three -- two by ex-wife Debbie Rowe, 5-year-old son Prince Michael and 4-year-old daughter Paris. He also has a baby less than a year old.
DESIRED: Backstreet Boy member Nick Carter, 22 (and considered the cute one), released his first solo album, "Now or Never," last month and now he wants to be a serious musician. "I'm learning to play the guitar. I've been playing for a year now, and now I'm getting to a point where I can play with my band," he told the Associated Press. "I play drums, and I want to develop into a really respectable artist, as a writer, as a producer." As for the reaction to his album by his fellow Boys: "They realize that this is making me a better person, a better individual."
CAST: Sally Field, 56, is expected to play opposite Reese Witherspoon, 26, when the double Oscar winner (1979's "Norma Rae," 1984's "Places in the Heart") takes on the role of a congresswoman and a mentor to Reese's Elle Woods in "Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde," according to the Hollywood Reporter. Filming is due to begin this month. Fields, who is currently on Broadway in Edward Albee's "The Goat or Who Is Sylvia?," also has a recurring role on NBC's "ER." She is expected to film her "Blonde" role in December.
