Record Mogul 'Suge' Knight Behind Bars

Gangsta rap mogul and Death Row Records founder Marion "Suge" Knight, 37, was arrested Friday for possibly violating his parole by allegedly punching a parking attendant outside a Los Angeles nightclub on June 21, California Department of Corrections spokesman Russ Heimerich tells Reuters.

"Apparently he was upset that his car was not readily available," Heimerich said of the alleged incident. "When you get out of prison, you have terms and conditions that you must abide by, and that includes no violence."

The state's Board of Prison Terms has 45 days to try to make their allegations stick, a board spokesman tells the news service. Should the charges prove true, the board will then have to determine whether or not to revoke his parole and send him back to prison, the spokesman added.

As of Monday, Knight was reportedly being held without bail at Men's Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles. Death Row Records offered no comment.

Last December, Knight was arrested and spent 61 days in Central Jail before being cleared of four out of five allegations against him. These encompassed alleged parole violations of failing to inform officials that he had moved to Malibu and his alleged hiring of drivers and bodyguards who had not been approved by state authorities.
