EXPECTED: Rachel Griffiths, 35, of HBO's "Six Feet Under," and her husband, artist Andrew Taylor, both of Melbourne, Australia, are expecting their first child, reports E! News Live. The due date was not reported. Griffiths and Taylor, who married this past New Year's Eve, reportedly donated their wedding gifts and proceeds from the sale of their wedding photographs to the Sacred Heart Mission in Melbourne. (Her uncle is a Jesuit priest.) On "Six Feet Under," which is currently on hiatus, Griffiths plays sexaholic Brenda Chenowith. (HBO, like PEOPLE, is part of AOL Time Warner.)

SPLIT: Former U.S. housing secretary Andrew Cuomo, 45, son of former governor Mario Cuomo, and Kerry Kennedy Cuomo, daughter of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, announced Monday they are separating after 13 years of marriage, reports the Associated Press. "This separation is amicable and the couple does not wish to comment further," said a press release issued through Kerry Kennedy's brother, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The Cuomos have three daughters: Cara and Mariah, 9, and Michaela, 6.
DIED: "Make Way for Ducklings" author and illustrator Robert McCloskey, 88, whose 1941 book about a duck mother and her flock in downtown Boston is still beloved by children, died in Maine Monday, reports The New York Times. No cause of death was reported. All told, McCloskey only published eight children's books. "I'm not prolific," The Times quotes him as having said. "I have to wait until it bubbles out."
