WED: "Sense and Sensibility" screenwriting Oscar winner and "Wit" actress Emma Thompson, 44, married her longtime partner, "Johnny English" actor Greg Wise, 37, on Tuesday in a ceremony in Scotland, reports newspapers in the area. The two have a daughter, Gaia, 3. Thompson's previous marriage, to actor Kenneth Branagh, lasted five years and ended in 1994. Thompson met Wise the following year, on the set of the Jane Austen adaptation.

CAST: There's a new Maytag man, the lonely fellow who sits around on TV commercials waiting for customers to call him and ask that he repairs their washing machines. The New York Post reports that veteran actor Hardy Rawls, who played the father on Nickelodeon's "Pete and Pete," will don the blue uniform, replacing former "WKRP in Cincinnati" star Gordon Jump, who will retire at the end of the year after being on call since 1988. Before that, the late Jesse White was the Maytag man, having originated the role in 1967.
RATED: Bravo's gay-themed programming continues to deliver a solid performance for the cable network, with a nicely rated Tuesday premiere of "Boy Meets Boy" (1.6 million viewers, averaging just over 1 million viewers in the 25-to-54 age demographic) and a record-resetting episode of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," which attracted 2.8 million viewers, says the Hollywood Reporter.
