POSTPONED: Britney Spears will not make the Nov. 25 release date for her new album, despite having already hyped the release in the upcoming Rolling Stone magazine, Launch.com reports. According to a statement on the pop princess's Web Site, "The release date previously reported on this site and elsewhere was incorrect and we apologize for any confusion. We will let you know when a revised date is announced. Thanks for your understanding."

OFFERED: Elton John, 56, is selling off the lavish contents of his London home so he can redecorate in a modern style, reports the BBC. Among the items going on the block Sept. 30 at Sotheby's in London are the rocker's double bed, fake leopard skin upholstery and 17th-century art. In all, more than 400 pieces are expected to raise more than $1.3 million.

QUOTED: "(People) can criticize you without even knowing you, and hate you when they don't even know you. ... Osama bin Laden is the only one who knows exactly what I'm going through." -- singer R. Kelly, 36, who has been charged with 21 counts of child pornography, to the music magazine Blender

RETURNED: Pope John Paul II, 83, came back from his trip to Slovakia on Sunday looking the worse for wear, The New York Times reports from the Vatican. The pontiff suffers from Parkinson's disease, and The Times says his frail-looking condition offers the most vivid example yet of the toll that the disease has taken on him. This recent journey to Slovakia marked his 102nd foreign trip as pope.

THREATENED: John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono, 70, may end up stark naked on a Paris stage Monday for her one-woman art show "Cut Piece," in which members of the audience cut off pieces of her clothing, reports Reuters. Ono first performed "Cut Piece" nearly 40 years ago in Japan in protest of the Vietnam War. "When I first performed this work, in 1964, I did it with some anger and turbulence in my heart," the avant-garde artist says in a statement. "This time, I do it with love for you, for me and for the world."
