Halle Berry's been "punk'd."
The Oscar-winning actress, 37, was barred from the Los Angeles premiere of her own movie "Gothika" this week, causing her to get into an argument with doormen before discovering she was being duped by MTV's prank show, say published reports.
The show's host, Ashton Kutcher, 25, was seen grinning in the background as Berry, wearing an elegant tangerine dress, tried to talk her way in, reports the BBC.
In "Gothika," Berry plays a criminal psychologist accused of a murder she has no memory of committing. Also at the premiere: costars Penelope Cruz and Robert Downey Jr., as well as Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
Berry is in good "punk'd" company: other celebs who have been tricked by Kutcher and his crew include Justin Timberlake, Pink and Kelly Osbourne.
And speaking of Kutcher, he and close companion Demi Moore, 41, were spotted by New York's Daily News in Los Angeles shopping for rings from jeweler Neil Lane.
Last weekend, says the paper, Moore returned to the shop with an assistant. Gossip columnists George Rush and Joanna Molloy also claim that the couple, who have been together for less than a year, have been in talks with a wedding planner.
