There's been a makeover behind the scenes of the Bravo network hit "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," at least as far as contract negotiations are concerned, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

In recently completed new deals, the Fab Five -- fashion-conscious Carson Kressley, interior-designer Thom Filicia, foodie Ted Allen, lifestyle expert Jai Rodriguez and hair and skin meister Kyan Douglas -- all received raises more than doubling their original salaries after binding together in solidarity. (They did this despite having separate agents, the Reporter notes.)

The "Queer" quintet carped a lot publicly last season over their relatively paltry paychecks of $3,000 per episode. The new deal gives them $8,000 per show, reports the paper.

It also guarantees that a certain number of the new episodes will leap from Bravo to parent network NBC, which would mean additional money. During the first season, the Reporter says, the guys received no such extra residuals.

Last month, NBC ordered 40 new episodes of "Queer" for a second season. The series' initial 13-episode run, which kicked off in July, was an instant ratings hit for Bravo and performed well in its few airings on NBC, notes the Reporter.
