Two years after his death from cancer, former Beatle George Harrison will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the 19th annual ceremony, taking place March 15 in New York.

He will be in very good company. Among those also due for inclusion this year, as was announced Thursday: Prince, Jackson Browne, Bob Seger, Traffic, ZZ Top and the Dells, according to published reports.

Artists become eligible for the hall 25 years after the release of their first record. Prince, 45, whose best-selling album remains the multiplatinum disc "Purple Rain," is being inducted upon his first eligibility.

Harrison, who was 58 when he died, was previously inducted in 1988 as a member of the Fab Four.

A Lifetime Achievement award in a nonperforming category will be announced later.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation was formed in 1983 and the first induction ceremony was held in 1986. All inductees are represented at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum, in Cleveland.
