Courteney to Sundance, Lisa to Produce

More post-"Friends" plans are coming to light as the must-see sitcom races to its finish line after 10 years.

The latest: Courteney Cox Arquette, 39, will be featured in a film set to be screened during January's 2004 Sundance Film Festival, the annual 11-day movie orgy staged in Utah.

She will star in the movie entry "November," directed by Greg Harrison, playing Sophie Jacobs, a photographer who struggles to cope after her boyfriend is shot to death in a convenience store, the Associated Press reports.

The fest kicks off Jan. 15. Sundance director Geoffrey Gillmore said "November" exemplifies a theme that is found in many of this year's festival entries.

"This is the first group of movies" conceived and produced since Sept. 11, 2001, he said. "There's a sense of anxiety in a lot of the work, a sense of disruption."

Other festival entries include Kevin Bacon, his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, and hip-hop artist Mos Def in "The Woodsman," about a convicted child molester; and Mark Ruffalo, Laura Dern, Peter Krause and Naomi Watts in "We Don't Live Here Anymore," about a man's affair with his best friend's wife.

As for Lisa Kudrow's plans, the Hollywood Reporter says that she will executive produce a CBS sitcom starring onetime "Friends" costar and former "Talk Soup" host Aisha Tyler. No title has been chosen, but the show is said to be modeled along the lines of the classic "Mary Tyler Moore" show.

Kudrow, 40, also will be executive producing other projects, says the trade paper. These include "Picking Up & Dropping Off," a romantic comedy on the ABC Family Channel set to air next Sunday, starring former "Party of Five" heartthrob Scott Wolf and Amanda Detmer ("Saving Silverman").
