WROTE: "The Apprentice" boss Donald Trump, 57, has signed with Random House to publish a new book, "How to Get Rich," timed to hit stores in April to coincide with the NBC show's live season finale. Trump, being uncharacteristically quiet about how much he was being paid for the tome, simply tells the Associated Press that he was receiving "a lot more than a million dollars." Trump's first book, 1987's "The Art of the Deal," was a bestseller. His second, 1990's "Trump: Surviving at the Top," was not. But that was before his newfound TV celebrity.
QUOTED: "This Oscar year we're all going for color. The look will be goddess. That means feminine. ... Flow-y, lacey, embroidery, drape-y, chiffon-y. And you'll see short. Like those '50s party dresses." -- Hollywood stylist Philip Bloch to New York Post gossip columnist Cindy Adams
DIAGNOSED: "The Odd Couple" star Tony Randall, 83, is recuperating from pneumonia following bypass surgery in December. "It was extremely successful. Doctors were very, very pleased," says publicist Gary Springer. "But then he developed pneumonia, and he's still recuperating." Doctors decided it would be better for Randall to recover at the hospital than at home, where he and his wife, Heather, have two children, ages 4 and 6, Springer added.
CAST: Hip-hop star Mos Def, 30, will star in the film version of Douglas Adams's novel "The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy," playing Ford Prefect, the alien who takes earthling Arthur Dent (to be played by Martin Freeman of the British TV cult hit "The Office") on a galactic trip, say trade reports. Shooting is to begin in April.
