Paris and Nicole Hitting the Road

FOX formally announced Monday that Paris Hilton and her partner-in-crime, Nicole Richie, will return for a second season of their reality TV hit, "The Simple Life," the Associated Press reports.
For the next installment, the hotel heiress and Lionel's daughter will take their show on the road, as they travel in an RV looking for host families with whom the socialites can share the more basic things in life.
"It'll be interesting to see the country through their eyes," said Mike Darnell, an executive vice president at FOX. "Maybe Paris will visit a Wal-Mart." (In the first season of "The Simple Life" Hilton claimed to not know what a Wal-Mart was. "Is that where they sell wall stuff?" she asked.)
The show's first season also proved to be a huge hit for FOX. Hilton and Richie were plunked down on a farm in bucolic Arkansas, much to the amusement and fascination of the local population and their hosts, the Leding family.
Even though the official announcement did not come until Monday, Hilton nearly gave away the secret at a party following the Golden Globes when she told a USA Today reporter, "We're going to travel around the country in a Winnebago with some new family."
