Don't be sweatin' Richard Simmons.

That's the lesson learned by a 6'2", 250-lb. cage fighter after he made a comment about the exercise guru's popular fitness videos, the Arizona Republic reports.

Police in Phoenix cited Simmons, 55, on suspicion of assault after he allegedly slapped an ultimate cage fighter at Sky Harbor Airport on Wednesday.

The unnamed cage fighter reportedly saw Simmons at the airport and said something to the effect of: "Hey everybody. It's Richard Simmons. Let's drop our bags and rock to the '50s," a police spokesman tells the Associated Press. "Mr. Simmons took exception to it and walked over to the other passenger and apparently slapped him in the face."

(As you may recall, Simmons is well known for his "Sweatin' to the Oldies" exercise videos featuring songs from the 1950s and '60s.)

Another police spokesman told the Arizona Republic that Simmons said to the cage fighter, "You shouldn't make fun of people who have issues," before allegedly striking him.

The cage fighter asked police to charge Simmons, who was cited and then allowed to board a flight.
