Bobby Brown Trying to Get Real

It seems like all eyes are on Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston these days, so it was probably only a matter of time before someone tried to turn it into a reality show.

That someone is Brown. Films crews from Brown's Atlanta-based B2 Entertainment were caught filming the singer and his wife during a meal at Palm Restaurant last week, USA Today reports. The film crew also was following the couple around town, according to a report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He and Houston live in Atlanta.

Brown, 35, hopes to sell the show to a network, according to reports, and judging from recent events surrounding the couple there is no shortage of drama in their lives. Brown recently finished serving a jail sentence in Georgia before proceeding to Massachusetts court, where he was sentenced to a night in jail when he was unable to immediately make good on back child support.

He is due back in a Georgia court on May 5 for battery charges stemming from a December arrest. Brown allegedly struck Houston during an altercation at that time.

As for Houston, she recently checked into a drug rehabilitation facility, but checked herself out after five days to pursue a private program.

Brown's show is not necessarily intended to be a family event. Houston's rep Nancy Seltzer tells the Associated Press that she will help her husband with his show, but the 40-year-old singer will not be a central character in any such production.

"She's working on getting well, she's working on herself," Seltzer told AP.
