Never one at a loss for words, Courtney Love participates in a unique Q&A for the May issue of Blender magazine -- with none other than her 11-year-old daughter, Frances Bean Cobain.
Love, 39, chats with Frances Bean, her daughter with the late Kurt Cobain (who died 10 years ago this week) and, as might be expected, the conversation is unorthodox. Young Frances does prove to be a devoted daughter to a mother who next week is scheduled to appear in a Los Angeles court to face charges of illegal drug possession and disturbing the peace.
Frances Bean says her mom's recent rowdy behavior is not as big a deal as Janet Jackson's breast-baring stunt at the Super Bowl. "Janet Jackson was inappropriate," she says.
"But I've shown my t--s in front of people," replies Love, who is assured by her daughter that Jackson's antics were worse because they occurred "in front of children."
Love also confides to her child that she's in need of companionship. "Sometimes, mommies need to get laid, too," she says, only to learn from an obviously perceptive Frances: "But Mommy, you intimidate men!"
After Love's arrest late last year, Frances was placed in the custody of Cobain's mother, Wendy O'Connor. Love has been stating publicly ever since that she wants her daughter back.
