AVERAGE NIGHT OUT
Success hasn't spoiled Average Joe Adam Mesh – so he tells Daily Insider. "Other than getting invited to these parties, I still hang out with the same friends," he told us at New York hotspot Marquee at the party following the star-studded launch of Tommy Hilfiger's new H Hilfiger line. "It's enjoyable to see what this is all about – getting invited to these parties, being interviewed at the parties – it doesn't get old. Or not yet, at least." And how does Adam, who had been at Marquee the previous night for Jay-Z's album release party, keep up his energy? "Coffee, exercise, lots of eating," he says.
Also at the Hilfiger soiree were Leonardo DiCaprio, who arrived at midnight sporting jeans and a black Chicago Bulls hat, P. Diddy, Russell Simmons, Tyson Beckford, Joe Pantoliano, Q-Tip, Perry Farrell, MTV's Quddus and cast members from The Apprentice. Bachelorette Meredith Phillips and fiance Ian McKee, who were among the celeb models in the fashion show, popped in still wearing their outfits.
BRUCE GETS CHEEKY
Midlife crisis? Not for Bruce Willis, who just turned 49. He's galloping around like an actor half his age, baring his butt in a new movie, squiring girlfriend Brooke Burns on a whirlwind tour of Paris and trying to sell a reminder of his former marriage, a gift from ex-wife Demi Moore. In his flick The Whole Ten Yards, Willis shot a scene in the buff, although to achieve a PG-13 rating the MPAA demanded cuts that left only a side shot of his bare backside. (Ladies, we can only hope the director's cut DVD will show more of Bruce's birthday suit.) Speaking of birthdays, after an early party in L.A., Willis and Burns skipped off to Paris in time for the actual day, March 19, and spent a week hitting the Louvre and partying at the L'Etoile nightclub overlooking the Arc de Triomphe. At the same time, back in West Palm Beach, Fla., his reps were trying to dump a 40th-birthday present from ex-wife Moore: a white 1957 Chevy Corvette with silver trim. The car went up for auction on March 20 but didn't sell because the high bid of $52,500 fell short of the reserve price.
CAUGHT IN THE ACT
Sopranos star Drea de Matteo, hosting a happy hour sponsored by Levi's 501 jeans (it began at 5:01 p.m., get it?) at the South by Southwest music festival in Austin. She grabbed a microphone and encouraged the crowd to stick around to hear her boyfriend Shooter Jennings's band.
