HOW JACKO GOT AWAY
Turns out Michael Jackson's early morning escape from the now-famous Green Valley Ranch in Las Vegas was an inside job. "We provided him with alternate vehicles, and we intentionally kept (the black Lincoln Navigator) out in front to get everybody off the track until he could settle into his new place," hotel spokesperson Gina Lateef reveals exclusively to the Daily Insider. Even after Jackson's departure, Green Valley Ranch personnel kept up the appearance of activity all day Friday in the $3,600 a night Presidential Suite. "We even went so far as to send room service up there several times that day," Lateef said. Prior to arriving at the upscale hotel and casino 10 miles from the Las Vegas Strip, the beleaguered King of Pop was holed up in a private 4,000-sq.-ft. bungalow at The Mirage, where he was joined by family members and comedian Eddie Griffin. Jackson, 45, pulled a fast one there too, a well-placed hotel source tells us, checking in under the alias "Jonathan Parker."
STARS FLOCK TO THE SPIDER CLUB
Hollywood's Spider Club was the place to be last weekend. The Daily Insider found Benecio Del Toro, sporting an enormous trucker hat, chatting with a lady friend at the bar on Friday night. Leonardo DiCaprio was also there, blending into the crowd with his backward baseball cap. We also caught Kelly Osbourne on an outdoor balcony near the front door taking a breather after climbing 89 steps to get into the ultra-hip Hollywood dance club. Vince Vaughn and Cole Hauser were among the last to leave.
