What did family members on Jennifer Lopez's list get for Christmas? The singer-actress bought Jo Malone luxury scented candles for her mom and sister as one of their gifts. Lopez also showed her holiday spirit to her potential mother-in-law-to-be by accompanying Ben Affleck to Mahoney's Garden Center in Cambridge, Ma., to buy his mom a Fraser fir Christmas tree.

Cold Mountain star Jude Law slipped into the New York Me&Ro jewelry store (also favored by Julia Roberts) a few days before Christmas and purchased a tiny leaf-and-bead necklace in 10-carat gold and pearls. He didn't reveal who the lucky recipient was, but the necklace is valued at $900.

L.A. jewelry designer Neil Lane got what he no doubt wanted for Christmas: lots of celebrity clients. Brittany Murphy bought a vintage-inspired diamond ring for her mother. Guy Ritchie picked up large diamond hoop earrings for wife Madonna. Warren Beatty purchased diamond earrings and a necklace for wife Annette Bening. Molly Sims''s boyfriend, actor Enrique Murciano, bought her a diamond ring.

Meanwhile, Sharon Osbourne, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas bought dozens of photo cases designed by Monica Rich Kosann from Bergdorf Goodman to give as Christmas gifts. The redesigned cigarette cases range in price from $250 to $8,000.

Patricia Heaton could barely hack costar Jeff Daniels, particularly before filming their tender scenes for the upcoming remake of The Goodbye Girl (airing on TNT on Jan. 16). "Jeff had a really unattractive way of clearing his nose and throat before we did a (love) scene. It really added to the passion of the moment," jokes Heaton, 45. "I'd be ready to go and I'd hear, 'Heeeeenk!' I'd turn and tell him, 'That's attractive. Thank you for that – but no tongue, okay?'"
