Daily Insider for April 9, 2004
There may be a light up ahead for Destiny's Child fans who have been waiting for the band to reunite. After a nearly three-year break, Michelle Williams says the group is heading back to the studio in June. "I've very excited about the reunion," Williams told Daily Insider at the L.A. premiere of Johnson Family Vacation (which costars Solange Knowles, Beyonce's sister). "We haven't picked producers yet, but Kelly (Rowland) had a concept for the album and what we would do." Williams told us more at a Tommy Hilfiger event in Orange County, outside L.A.: "We're hoping that (the new Destiny's Child album) will come out by the Christmas holidays, but we have to see. We're still all doing our own things. We all need to get together and say, 'Okay.' We just have a ball. I saw Beyonce's show in Chicago; me and Kelly were with her in San Antonio. We love and support and just have a ball. And even though we were away, we know what our first priority is, and that's Destiny's Child."
JUST FOR KICKS
For those following the "Posh & Becks" crisis in Britain: The latest is that perennially pouty Posh (aka Victoria Beckham) has managed to smile for the press. As her beleaguered husband, soccer star David Beckham, left their vacation spot in Courcheval, France, to fly back to Madrid on Wednesday for team practice, Victoria stayed on with sons Brooklyn, 5, and Romeo, 19 months, and frolicked in the snow. The couple have been facing tabloid reports of David's alleged affair with his former assistant Rebecca Loos, accompanied by sexually explicit text messages that Loos claims she exchanged with him. Though Victoria broke from tradition with the grins, she is keeping up her Posh-ness, sporting a $9,000 ski outfit and giant Dior shades for the cameras. "The last two days with David have been really good," she told photographers. "We've had a really good time. Everything is going great." Stay tuned.
AMERICA'S TOP REBOUND?
"We're still together and we're happy." That's the update from Shandi Sullivan, the contestant who was caught cheating on her longtime boyfriend, Eric, while taping the hit reality series America's Next Top Model. "We're just trying to move on," says Sullivan, who was eliminated in episode 10. "We never broke up. We just talked a lot and worked it out." So what's next? "I am moving to New York to keep pursuing the modeling thing," she says. "He better come with me!"
The hottest new spot for pampering in New York, Sava Spa, isn't in trendy Soho or on the swanky Upper East Side – it's way uptown in Washington Heights, but that hasn't stopped Uma Thurman, Kyra Sedgwick, Natasha Richardson and Christy Turlington from visiting. Sedgwick, Richardson and Turlington have all enjoyed the "Nourishing Reve de Miel," a $125, 50-minute service that includes a massage, an exfoliating treatment, a shower and then a second massage with two products from the boutique French line Nuxe: Huile Prodigieuse and Baume des Familles.
