HONORED: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, nearly 18, will receive their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has announced. Their bronze plaque is located in front of the Kodak Theatre, current home to the Academy Awards, outside the Hollywood and Highland mall. The ceremony is a run-up to the May 7 release of their first major feature film, New York Minute, in which they star and share a producer credit.

SPLIT: Actor Jon Cryer, 39, who stars with Charlie Sheen in the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men, filed for divorce from his wife of four years, actress Sarah Trigger (Grand Canyon), 35, on April 22 in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences, reports PEOPLE. The couple have one son, Charlie, 3. This week also brought news of two other Hollywood couples calling it quits: Halle Berry and Eric Benet (after three years), and Robert Downey Jr. and estranged wife Deborah Falconer (after 12).

BORN: Massage therapist Amber Frey, whose affair with Scott Peterson is at the center of the murder case against him, gave birth to a baby boy Tuesday, Los Angeles attorney Gloria Allred announced. The child, born in Fresno, Calif., was named Justin Dean, and the father is David Markovich. Prosecutors claim Peterson's affair with Frey led him to kill his pregnant wife and dump her in San Francisco Bay in December 2002. Jury selection in the case continues in northern California.

INSISTED: Ellen DeGeneres is swearing off standup tours. "My last tour really was my last tour. I didn't make an announcement like Cher did. But it was my last tour. So I won't be doing standup anymore," the TV host, 46, tells AP, explaining that it takes too long to write standup and rehearse it, and she prefers to focus on her syndicated talk show.

EXPECTED: Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash (real name: Saul Hudson), 38, and his wife, Perla Hudson, 31, an ex-model, are awaiting their second baby, a boy, in July, reports PEOPLE. They plan to name him Cash Anthony. Their son London is 2. Slash now plays with the band Velvet Revolver.

ENTERED: Nicholas Brendon, 33, best known as Xander on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, announced Wednesday he has voluntarily entered an alcohol treatment center, his publicist said. "After realizing that I had a disease that was taking control of my life, I decided that the best way for me to regain my health was to enter a treatment facility," Brendon said in a statement. "I'm grateful for the love and support I've gotten from my wife, Tressa, my entire family, my business associates and my friends."

APOLOGIZED: Barbara Walters, 72, has expressed her regrets for an ABC News weekend promo for Friday's 20/20 dealing with adoption. Viewers objected to the program being promoted as a reality show in which five couples would "compete" to adopt a 16-year-old's baby. "You know what the bad word was? 'Compete,' " Walters said Wednesday on her daytime show, The View. "A promo promotes to make you want to watch. ... Promos sometimes get a little heated, and we made a mistake."
