Frasier Getting Another TV Spinoff?
Despite all of NBC's messages that life is over for Frasier, Kelsey Grammer may not be quite ready to step out of his character's 20-year-old shoes just yet.
There are reports that executives from Paramount and NBC huddled last week to discuss the possibility of yet another series based on the next phase of the shrink's life.
So far, absolutely nothing is confirmed, though Lisa Kudrow, whose 10-year-run on Friends comes to a screeching halt on Thursday night, did say on the Today show this week that she had been the original choice to play Frasier's radio sidekick immediately before shooting started on that series.
The Frasier creators ultimately decided to rethink the character, firing a shattered Kudrow and replacing her with Peri Gilpin.
In other words, maybe it's time to re-connect Kudrow and Grammer for a series.
In other TV news, fallen Queen of Nice Rosie O'Donnell, 42, is set to executive-produce and star in her first major screen appearance since the May 2002 finale of her daytime talk show.
She'll will play a retarded woman in Riding the Bus With My Sister, an original movie for CBS, according to the Hollywood Reporter. No airdate has been announced.
