It was quite a celebration for Van Helsing actress Kate Beckinsale, whose vampire-hunting movie with Hugh Jackman was the weekend's No. 1 movie: The British brunette beauty married her boyfriend, Underworld director Len Wiseman, on Sunday in a small ceremony at the posh Bel-Air Hotel.

The bride wore a Vera Wang gown, said her publicist, Troy Nainkin, who described the affair as "intimate," with about 140 guests attending. Beckinsale's 5-year-old daughter, Lily, also participated in the ceremony and received her own "wedding ring" from Wiseman, PEOPLE reports.

It's the first marriage for both.

Last week, Beckinsale had been quoted as saying she planned a Las Vegas wedding, but that idea was apparently scrapped in favor of the California location due to her work commitments. She is currently shooting The Aviator, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, for director Martin Scorsese.

The two are honeymooning at an undisclosed location.

Beckinsale, 30, who also starred in 2001's Pearl Harbor, met her future husband, who is 31, when she played a vampire warrior in the supernatural thriller Underworld, which came out last fall. (The couple are now working on a proposed sequel, to begin shooting next year.)

Wiseman popped the question at Santa Monica's Viceroy Hotel, where the two were dining, PEOPLE reported last year.

Early last year, Beckinsale split with her longtime mate, actor Michael Sheen. The pair never married, but they had daughter Lily together.
