Seacrest's Show Sticking Around: Producers
Well, for one thing, his reps insist, discount those stories about the imminent demise of his show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest.
"The program continues to move forward and has an exciting slate of top celebrities scheduled to appear in the upcoming months and beyond," says a statement from Twentieth Television, which produces the syndicated program.
"On Air with Ryan Seacrest has not been cancelled. In fact, at this point in time, Twentieth Television has cleared On Air in more than 88 percent of the country for next season," reads the statement – which also touts upcoming guests Nelly Furtado, Kate Hudson, Rob Lowe, Kid Rock and Michael Douglas.
"We remain strongly committed to the program, fervently believe in Ryan and his extraordinary talent as a host and look forward to his continued ratings and clearance growth."
As for his personal life, Wednesday's New York Post repeats a denial from Seacrest's publicist that the 29-year-old American Idol host is engaged to marry his girlfriend, Shanna Walls.
Last month, after that rumor first cropped up, the rep issued a denial – despite the claim that Seacrest just wanted to keep the news under wraps so as not to dampen his popularity with his young girl fans.
