SEEKING HELP: Mary-Kate Olsen entered a clinic for treatment of an eating disorder, reported PEOPLE, which devotes this week's cover story to the matter. "Mary-Kate Olsen recently entered a treatment facility to seek professional help for a health-related issue," said Michael Pagnotta, a spokesman for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (who turned 18 on June 13). "She is thankful for the encouragement and support of her friends and family who are with her every step of the way." Ashley Olsen, meanwhile, cancelled her plans to promote their movie New York Minute in Australia and New Zealand to stay near her sister.

JUROR AXED: Juror No. 5 in the Scott Peterson double-murder trial was dismissed from the panel on Wednesday after admitting that he discussed media coverage with his girlfriend. Justin Falconer, 28, an airport screener and single parent, told reporters afterward that he regretted being removed. He then said that the prosecution had not scored many points in the trial thus far. "If I had to judge today, he would be innocent," he said. "The prosecution hasn't shown any evidence."

BILL'S BOOK: Bill Clinton's memoir My Life set a record for first-day non-fiction sales, with 400,000 copies purchased in the U.S., said the former president's publisher, Alfred A. Knopf, adding that it has printed another 725,000 copies in addition to an initial print run of 1.5 million. Knopf president Sonny Mehta told the Associated Press that sales are "exceedingly strong" in other countries, too. Clinton, 57, reportedly was paid a $10-million advance for his memoirs.

BABIES DUE: Liv Tyler and her rocker husband, Royston Langdon, are expecting their first child, PEOPLE reported. Her publicist confirmed that she's due sometime next winter. "Roy and I are both overjoyed and look forward to the arrival of our child," says the The Lord of the Rings actress, 26, who married Langdon, 32, in Barbados on March 25, 2003, after a two-year engagement. ... In other baby news, German supermodel Claudia Schiffer and her husband, British movie producer Matthew Vaughn, are "expecting baby No. 2 at the end of the year," her rep confirmed to PEOPLE. Schiffer and Vaughn, both 33, were married May 25, 2002, and have a 17-month-old son, Caspar.

SIMPSON STALLED: A kidney infection forced Jessica Simpson to cancel two concerts in Rhode Island and New Hampshire, but the MTV Newlyweds star said in a statement that she "can't wait until the doctor says it's okay for me to get back out there. Thanks to everyone for their get-well wishes." A Columbia Records spokeswoman says Simpson, 23, intends to reschedule the shows, which are part of a summer tour promoting her album In This Skin.
