Bob Guiney & Rebecca Budig: July 3, 2004

It only took three. After a six-week engagement, Guiney, 33, and Budig, 31, wed July 3 in an intimate lakeside gathering near his family's cottage in Long Lake, Mich. Dressed in a two-piece, blue-accented strapless gown designed by a pal – "casual," says Budig's mom, Mary, "but very pretty" – Budig carried lilies as she walked with her parents to a canopy near the lake, where she and Guiney tearfully exchanged vows. Afterward, their 50 guests dined on barbeque chicken and ribs and donned swimsuits to ride the Jet Skis and pontoon boat. "They've both been married before and had big weddings," says Mary of the pair, who are honeymooning near Cancun. "They wanted this to be their own little, unique wedding, and it was."
The sudden nuptials surprised many, including a boater who had fastened a sign reading Bachelor Bob to his craft for that day's local boat parade. "They had to turn the sign over [and write] Just Married," says Mary. "I guess they're going to have to figure out another name for him!"
