Britney Spears's Onyx Hotel tour may be canceled, but guests at the real Onyx Hotel in Boston can now sleep just like a pop princess – in a room that her mother, Lynne, designed to look like Britney's bedroom at home in Kentwood, La.
The guest quarters, in downtown Bean Town, contain a minibar stocked with some of Britney's favorite snacks: Cheetos, strawberry Pop Tarts, Starburst, Red Bull, Pepsi and O.J. (No word about ginseng, which she was reputedly drinking when a paparazzo's camera caught her in California last week.)
For entertainment, the Associated Press reports, the 325-sq.-ft. room's private library is also supplied with her CDs and a DVD of her movie Crossroads.
As for the décor, the room is painted off-white, with shades of green, gold, pink and soft blue. Glass-beaded wallpaper hangs over the bed's headboard, with fairies decorating the gold-speckled bathroom walls. The tub features a gold-toned shower curtain with gold beading.
A night amid such splendors will set you back $349 in the high season (spring, summer, fall) and $259 in low season (winter). Most Onyx rooms go from $229 to $299.
The hotel plans to contribute 10 percent of the room charge to the Britney Spears Foundation, which helps sick children and funds a performing arts camp in Louisiana.
