In fact, the actress isn't afraid to gush a little. "He's a great guy," she told PEOPLE while attending the recent opening of the new Prada store in Beverly Hills. "Seriously, I think he's one of the best guys any girl could be with. He's really sweet. It's very fun."
A friend of the couple's bolsters Lohan's sentiment. "She's really into him," the pal tells the magazine in its new issue, on newsstands Friday. "She seems really smitten and enamored of the fact that he is (six years) older. ... He's a little more reserved."
The two were first spotted together in May but kept their romance officially under wraps until Lohan's 18th-birthday bash on July 2 – when they were kissing and dancing until 3 a.m. at Avalon, the Hollywood nightclub. (For the record, Lohan says that Valderrama, 24, made the first move by asking her out. "Of course!" she says. "A girl should never do that.")
Since then, the pair have been seen together at parties and, most recently, a kabbalah center in Los Angeles. Lohan has also taken to wearing the red string bracelet associated with the practice. "Lindsay is curious (about kabbalah) and has been for a while," says a friend.
Whether the two have found spiritual enlightenment or not, Lohan says for now she’s just having fun. "I'm still young," she says.
Meanwhile, PEOPLE also reports that Lohan and her roomie, That's So Raven star Raven, have just moved into separate L.A. pads.
Says Raven: "Miss Thing has so many movies to shoot (she stayed at our place) three times. She was paying rent and never there."
Not that covering the rent should be a problem. Lohan recently scored a record deal with Tommy Mottola's Casablanca Records label and a modeling contract with Dooney & Bourke. And for her next picture, an untitled romantic comedy with Drumline actor Nick Cannon, she's reportedly being paid $7.5 million.
