Their series may have come to an end, but the women of Sex and the City are still going strong, with Cynthia Nixon mingling with the Democrats in Boston, Kim Cattrall preparing for her London stage debut and, now, Kristin Davis joining Sarah Jessica Parker as a commercial pitchwoman.

In the case of Davis, 39, Maybelline New York announced Wednesday that this year's Emmy nominee (for her Sex role as Charlotte) will be the new face of the cosmetic company's global TV and print winter ad campaign.

"I am thrilled to have been chosen to be a new face for Maybelline New York," Davis said in a statement. "Maybelline is such an icon in the beauty industry. Their wonderful products continue to be favorites of mine."

In addition, Davis recently closed a deal to develop a new HBO series in which she will star. She also has been cast as the voice of the title character in the upcoming Nick Jr. animated series, Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends.

As for Parker, also 39, her fall ad campaign for the Gap will show the her in several different customized jeans, reports the Associated Press. On one pair, she adds a velvet ribbon sewn down the legs to imitate tuxedo pants. On another, the jeans are cut just below the knee and enhanced with a ribbon bow at the hemline.

Cattrall's bow on the West End will come in January, when the actress 47, will star in an updated version of Brian Clark's 1978 Whose Life is it Anyway, about a paralyzed sculptor who wishes to die. The drama, which played London and New York, originally starred Tom Conti but then Mary Tyler Moore took over the role on Broadway – and won an honorary Tony for it. Richard Dreyfuss starred in the 1981 movie.

Finally, Nixon, 38, graciously posed for photos with fans on Wednesday while stopping at a concession stand, Beantown Franks, at the FleetCenter, which is serving as home to this week's Democratic National Convention.

A veteran of the 1988 DNC in Atlanta, Nixon admitted: "I can't say it's the best popcorn I've ever had, although the ice-cold water makes this seem like an oasis in the desert."
