Britney Spears finally met her 2-year-old stepdaughter-to-be, Kori, and posed for photos with the child and her puppy, as well as with Kori's dad (Britney's fiancé), Kevin Federline.
Photos from the get-together were published in Britain's Sun tabloid, with all three looking very happy. Kori is one of Federline's two children with former "Moesha" actress Shar Jackson, who last month gave birth to Federline's son, Kaleb Michael Jackson.
Although she makes no mention of her daughter's meeting with Kori, Britney's mom, Lynne Spears, has taken to her daughter's Web site to tell fans what she and the pop princess have been up to this summer.
Lynne writes that Britney's been out West soaking up sun and shopping. "She wanted to take a few days because some of the paparazzi seem to be getting more and more aggressive," writes Lynne, adding, "Funny though, they seem to be steering at least three feet clear of me!"
Lynne then hands the computer over to Britney, who typed her own message to fans: "Hey y'all, I just wanted to thank you for the well wishes & prayers with my knee and for the congratulations on my personal life.
"This is the happiest time for me and thank you for your never ending support and love," she adds. "I've always believed I have the greatest fans in the world and you keep on proving me right!!"
