Fans Demand Britney-Kevin Newlyweds Show

Reality shows seem to be easy for everyone but Britney Spears.

Last April, the pop princess announced she was shopping a proposal called Ontourage, to track her adventures on her Onyx Hotel concert tour – but no network bit.

Then this week came a spate of rumors – promptly denied by MTV – that Spears, 22, and fiancé Kevin Federline, 26, had asked to replace Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson now that that golden couple reportedly have grown tired of their Newlyweds series.

Still, the network's denial apparently hasn't deterred a grassroots campaign in support of Newlyweds: Kevin & Britney. The media Web site Gawker reports that petitions are being circulated to draft the prospective newlyweds for their own series.

Said one emotionally charged petition message (suggesting that there's still a lot more to know about the dancer Federline): "Does he own just that one dirty T-shirt, or does his closet contain a thousand of the exact same shirt?"

Meanwhile, Spears's rep is denying the latest rumors about the couple – that they decided to get married immediately and planned to make it official on Thursday. A publicist for the pop star tells PEOPLE the reports are untrue.
