Donald Trump has his The Apprentice, and now his former spouse, Ivana, is heading into the realm of reality TV with a FOX primetime show of her own – on which "mature" woman will find love with a younger man.
Ivana, 55, a Czech-born former model who lost her husband to the younger Marla Maples in a messy 1992 divorce, will assume the role of matchmaker in a two-hour reality special due later this season and tentatively titled Ivana Man, FOX has announced, reports Reuters.
(Maples and the Donald divorced in 1999. He is now engaged to model Melania Knauss.)
On Ivana's show, eight young bachelors are due to compete for the affections of a single but successful 40-ish woman who will, in turn, rely on advice from the ex-Mrs. Trump in picking her soulmate.
"For years, rich older men have traded in their wives for pretty young women with bigger 'attributes,'" but now "mature women are finding that true love can happen with younger men," FOX reality producer Mike Darnell said in a statement.
The London-based Ivana Trump is no stranger to the world of show business. She had a brief but memorable role in the 1996 comedy movie First Wives Club, advising the divorcees played by Goldie Hawn, Diane Keaton and Bette Midler at the end of the picture: "Don't get mad – get everything."
