Power Couple Unplugged on 'Apprentice'

Lovebirds Nick Warnock and Amy Henry got the boot from Donald Trump on Thursday night's edition of "The Apprentice," whittling the final competition down to just two: Bill Rancic and Kwame Jackson.

Those finalists will duke it out in next week's live two-hour finale, at which the Donald will award a $250,000 leadership job in one of his companies to the winner.

As for Thursday's episode, despite the romance between them, Amy turned to the big boss in the boardroom and suggested that he fire Nick. As it was, some of Trump's longtime advisers, having interviewed all four finalists, deemed Nick too slick for his own good and someone "who clearly doesn't present himself as an intellect," said Charles Reiss.

Amy left the advisors unimpressed, with Reiss saying, "She reminded me of a Stepford Wife." As he fired her, Trump told Amy that his advisers found her lacking substance when she spoke. Advisor Tom Downing was particularly blunt: "Amy irritated the hell out of me," he said.

Nick took the dismissal diplomatically, saying, "I thought I was the best one there, and I was excited to have had this opportunity."

But then, in a twist, Trump invited six previous contestants -- including Nick and Amy, as well as Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth -- to return to the game and work as employees for the two finalists. Their tasks? Kwame must organize a Jessica Simpson concert, while Bill is in charge of putting on a golf tournament.
