How's it going on the Hard Easy set?
The first thing I shot was a shootout scene. It's like what you do when you're a little kid, it's fun. I play a stockbroker, basically, who gets wrapped up in something a little shady.
And how was it coming onto the Charmed set? That cast and crew have been together for years.
For me the first day was a little intimidating. Being a new guy, you want to come in and impress people. But everyone was very supportive and open.
Was Alyssa Milano your first onscreen kiss?
Well, I guess I kissed a girl on (NBC's now-defunct high-school comedy) City Guys, but I was a virtual pro by Charmed.
Did Jessica get jealous seeing you with another woman?
No, you know, it's part of being an actor. Before, she had to kiss Ashton (Kutcher) on That '70s Show. ... You just separate the business from the personal.
So what about you two? Any more joint ventures on the way?
We did a remake of (the song) "A Whole New World" (for the Aladdin DVD release). We also did a duet together for her Christmas record, and we're about to tape the Christmas variety show next week. ... It's one of those things where we enjoy working together but also being independent. It's good to keep a separation at times.
So with Newlyweds wrapping up, will you miss the cameras at all?
Miss them? No. But we both recognize the value of having done that and the value of the show and everything it did for us. So it's kind of a catch-22: not always easy to do, but great and a lot of fun.
Any reality-show regrets?
I mean, if we worried about embarrassing ourselves we wouldn't have done it. We were pretty much shameless at this point.
