Sienna: Being Jude's Girl Is Hard
Jude Law and Sienna Miller
There is a dark side to being one-half of sexy couple Jude Law and Sienna Miller – so she told us at the London premiere of their movie Alfie last week. "I'm not coping very well with all the attention, if I'm honest," confided the British actress. "You just become very thick-skinned and a little bit cynical and keep your family and friends close by." As for the recent rumors about the couple becoming engaged, Miller, 22, said: "It's rubbish – we're not getting married. It's absolutely not true." On a lighter note, we asked her just how much Law resembles his womanizing title character in the movie. "The good bits Jude has," she told us, "and thank God he doesn't have the bad ones." After the premiere, the couple appeared at the afterparty at Koko, a refurbished theater-cum-nightclub in London's Camden section. They posed for the cameras outside, then dashed straight to the VIP room without passing through the party. Alfie opens Nov. 5.
Comedy of Error
It's fun being on the Friends spinoff Joey, says costar Jennifer Coolidge, who plays Matt LeBlanc's agent – and one of the more comedic moments recently took place offscreen, when Jennifer Aniston visited the set. "She was filming a movie near Joey and she came to visit Matt," Coolidge told us at a recent L.A. gala celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Groundlings comedy troupe, of which she is an alum. "She's such a huge star, beautiful and so nice. She said hi and went to hug me and I was totally unprepared for the hug, so I moved into this horribly awkward position. She must have thought I was the biggest ass."
Hail to the Chief
Just how realistic is Denis Leary's FX show Rescue Me, about the lives of New York City firefighters? We asked Jack McGee, who plays Fire Chief Jerry Reilly and who spent 10 years as a real-life New York City firefighter. The show is "right on the money," McGee says. "Everything you see there on the show – especially around the firehouse – is right on the money. It couldn't be any closer. You have a bunch of guys hanging out near the firehouse with nothing to do, you can't help but pick on each other."
