Survivor: Vanuatu lost its sixth contestant Thursday night: the Yasur tribe's new member Travis Sampson.

As the newest members and the only men in the tribe, Travis and Rory were aware that their heads could roll. Still, they did have a supporter in Eliza Orlins, the 21-year-old pre-law student from Syracuse, N.Y., who argued that the women of Yasur could use the physical prowess of the men in the challenges.

It could be argued that Travis, a 33-year-old loss prevention specialist from Blountville, Tenn., lost his spot on the team by his own backstage maneuvering. By attempting to communicate secretly with former tribemate Chris just before beginning the Immunity Challenge – which this time was another relay race, through the jungle and out into the water – Travis was viewed by his new Yasur comrades as disloyal, resulting in his dismissal.

As for the Travis-Chris "alliance," Ami Cusak, 31, the model from Lakewood, Colo., noted: "People will get themselves kicked out. You don't have to kick them out. They'll get themselves kicked out." But Travis was kicked out in a 6-1 vote.

Shortly after his fate was decided, Travis told the CBS reality show's camera, "Don't let nobody fool you. It's as tough as you see on TV."

Travis's jump to Yasur came as a result of tribal reshuffling that host Jeff Probst announced at the Reward Challenge.

The two who were selected to be chiefs, Sarge and Scout, became the leaders of the new tribes. As the castaways fell into place, the new Yasur ended up retaining its old roster with the additions of Rory and Travis, minus Julie and Twila.

The new Lopevi roster was Chad, Chris, John K., Julie and Twila, with Sarge as the leader; the new Yasur lineup was Ami, Eliza, Leann, Lisa, Rory and Travis, headed by Scout.
