Shark Tale Still Showing Box-Office Legs
The bite of Shark Tale just got deeper and the football flick Friday Night Lights is still getting its kicks, while the eagerly awaited puppet movie Team America: World Police got fairly strung out – doing only so-so business at the box office this weekend.

After 17 days in the water, Shark Tale, DreamWork's computer-animated answer to arch rival Disney's Finding Nemo (only Nemo got much better reviews), has made $118.8 million, according to studio estimates. Shark has gripped the No, 1 spot for three weeks running. Meanwhile, in 10 days, Friday Night Lights, starring Billy Bob Thornton, has hit $38.7 million.

In limited release, Shall We Dance? starring Richard Gere, Jennifer Lopez and Susan Sarandon, delivered a strong performance, despite dreadful reviews.

Despite what happened with Team America from South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone (the film took in $12.3 million for third place), its studio is still optimistic the film will find its audience. "Because it is a rather political movie, if it gets some word of mouth going, it'll hang in there, no pun intended," Paul Dergarabedian, president of box-office tracker Exhibitor Relations, tells the Associated Press.

The weekend's Top 10 at the box office, according to estimates, were as follows:

1. Shark Tale, $22.1 million
2. Friday Night Lights, $13.1 million
3. Team America: World Police, $12.3 million
4. Shall We Dance?, $11.6 million
5. Ladder 49, $8.6 million
6. Taxi, $7.7 million
7. The Forgotten, $6 million
8. Raise Your Voice, $3 million
9. The Motorcycle Diaries, $1.7 million
10. Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, $1.3 million
