BASHED: Eminem's new album, Encore, due Nov. 16, contains an anti-Bush song called "Mosh," Rolling Stone.com reports, after the song was leaked online Thursday. In it, the Grammy and Oscar winner, 32, denounces the war in Iraq. "Rebel with a rebel yell, raise hell," Eminem raps. "We gonna let him know/Stomp, push, shove, mush, f– Bush!/Until they bring our troops home." Later comes the lyric: "Let the president answer on higher anarchy/Strap him with an AK-47, let him go fight his own war/Let him impress daddy that way ... No more blood for oil." In interviews, Eminem has said he is newly registered to vote yet won't endorse a candidate, other then to admit he wants the incumbent out of office because, among other reasons, "I don't wanna see my little brother get drafted."
CAST: Madonna, 46, will be heard and not seen in French filmmaker Luc Besson's $80 million computer-animated Arthur, based on his series of children's books, says the Hollywood Reporter. She will be the voice of Princess Selenia, who travels with 10-year-old Arthur to a mysterious forbidden city where an evil being dwells. The film, currently being prepared in Paris (the soundtrack will be in English) is scheduled for a 2006 release
WON: Mexican singer-songwriter Julieta Venegas ("Si") dominated MTV's Video Music Awards Latin America in Miami Beach on Thursday. She won three awards. Veteran Mexican alt-band Cafe Tacuba, which took video of the year, and American light-rockers Maroon 5 were the evening's only other multiple winners, with a pair of trophies each.
BUSTED: Crazy Cabbie (real name: Lee Mroszak), 35, a member of Howard Stern's so-called "Wack Pack," is scheduled to face a tax charge in Brooklyn, N.Y. Federal Court on Nov. 9 after admitting on Stern's show that he allegedly never pays taxes, say reports.
CANCELED: Bluesman Bo Diddley, 75, called off a concert in California because he needs more time to recover from a toe amputation, the Associated Press reports. Diddley (real name: Ellas Bates McDaniel) checked into the North Florida Regional Medical Center about two weeks ago because of a hyperglycemic condition, a rep said. Diddley has diabetes and hyperglycemia is often associated with the disease.
