Ashton Kutcher is hitting the campaign trail after telling the crowd he got Punk'd by his pick in the 2000 election.
The 26-year-old star of MTV's prank show told an audience in Dubuque, Iowa, that he was campaigning for the John Kerry-John Edwards ticket after voting for President George W. Bush in 2000, the Associated Press reports.
"I voted for him because I thought he was like me," Kutcher told the crowd. "I thought he was a good old boy like me."
But the That '70s Show actor said the president was "not going to fool me again." Said Kutcher, "I'm here to take responsibility for my mistakes."
A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Kutcher reportedly traveled with vice presidential-hopeful John Edwards on his campaign plane to Minneapolis on Monday.
