Viewers will soon see what it's like to be stranded on a deserted island with Rachel Hunter.
The sexy, blonde swimsuit model has been cast in the upcoming TBS reality show The Real Gilligan's Island. Hunter will play the real-life version of "Ginger," the sultry movie star character on the original sitcom.
"She shares the flightiness and aloofness of Ginger," TBS says of Hunter on its Web site. "She tends to drift and wander without care for what is going on around her."
As for what she might create out of some the island's resources: a coconut-shell bikini, according to the site.
The show, which debuts Nov. 30, is based on the 1960s program Gilligan's Island in which a group of tourists go for a three-hour boat ride and end up shipwrecked on a remote island. The new cast of castaways will be made to work together to get off an island and will face scenarios from the classic series in the form of various contests.
Real people who have been brought in to mirror the original include a skipper, a New York University professor, a wealthy couple, a farm girl and a "Gilligan" character who will be played by a 20-year-old "klutzy," yet "charming" student from Massachusetts, TBS says.
