Baseball Star Rodriguez, Wife Have Baby
It's a girl for New York Yankees baseball superstar Alex Rodriguez and his wife, Cynthia.

The couple welcomed their daughter, 7 lb. 4 oz. Natasha Alexander Rodriguez, on Nov. 18 in Miami, the third baseman's publicist Eileen Thompson tells PEOPLE exclusively.

"My wife and I are elated," says Rodriguez, 29. "We have been truly blessed."

The 19-inch girl is the first child for Rodriguez – better known as A-Rod – and Cynthia, 31, who were married in November 2002 at his mansion in Dallas. The couple have been together since 1996, after meeting in a Miami gym.

In February, Rodriguez joined the Yankees from the Texas Rangers. He signed a $252 million, 10-year contract in 2000. He and his wife live in Miami during the off-season.
