"M.A.C. VIVA GLAM V is a great campaign to be involved with," she said, adding that she herself is greatly aware of the disease and stressing that everyone should get tested for HIV.
In the ad, the former Baywatch babe, 37, is topless except for the logo, which is painted directly onto her back. In a statement, Anderson said: "After being diagnosed with hepatitis C, I knew the importance of knowing your status. Only then can you make informed and wise decisions for your health and life."
The M.A.C. AIDS Fund, created 11 years ago by the cosmetics company, has raised more than $44 million, according to the fund's Web site.
Previous faces on the VIVA GLAM V lipstick ad campaign include Christina Aguilera, Missy Elliott, Linda Evangelista, Chloe Sevigny and Boy George.
