Britney Spears wasted no time getting back into the swing of things on Tuesday, the same day she filed for divorce from Kevin Federline in Los Angeles.

The pop singer, who was in New York City, took a spin around the famous ice skating rink at New York's Rockefeller Center just hours after the news broke that she was dissolving her two-year marriage to Federline, citing "irreconcilable differences."

Spears, who stepped out in a low-cut dress and black fishnet stockings, also spent part of Tuesday dining out with friends at the New York's Baldoria, a traditional Italian restaurant in the midtown Theater District, where she smiled and waved at fans.

Monday night, Spears appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, looking svelte, upbeat and delivering a punchline to the TV host about how she was really showing up to meet Will Ferrell. There was no mention of a marital breakup.

Federline, meanwhile, continued his promo itinerary on Tuesday, driving nine hours on his tour bus to reach Chicago. Arriving at the House of Blues Hotel at 10:15 p.m., he then waited in his tour bus until there was access to the hotel's loading dock so that he could enter through the back entrance.

Says a source at the hotel: "He looked depressed, like he was going to cry. He looked down the whole time and didn't make eye contact."
