Leonardo DiCaprio movie posters cover the walls of the computer center at the new Los Feliz Branch Library, built on land where the actor's Los Angeles family home once stood. The Leonardo DiCaprio Computer Center contains seven terminals with software to help students with math, language and study skills, library spokesman Peter Persic said at Thursday's ribbon-cutting ceremony. DiCaprio and his family, who were longtime residents of the Los Feliz neighborhood, donated $35,000 to fund the computer center. The "Titanic" actor, who is currently in Thailand filming "The Beach," did not attend the ceremony. "There are lots of books about Leonardo DiCaprio on the shelves, but I doubt they'll stay there for long," Persic said.

• In other news of Leo, his production company has acquired the rights to "Dreamland," a story set at the beginning of the century about a young man who emigrates from Eastern Europe to America by stowing away on an ocean liner. (Most critics liked the novel, though some referred to it as "Ragtime Lite.") DiCaprio has already done pretty well in a movie about a young man crossing the Atlantic on a ocean liner -- only in "Dreamland" he would make it all the way across.
