Barbara Bain, who starred in the classic TV series "Mission: Impossible," read to a group of K-through-5th grade students Thursday night at a shopping mall in Los Angeles, where she kicked off the Screen Actors Guild Foundation's summer program to promote reading among young people. In coming weeks "Dharma & Greg" co-star Mitch Ryan and "Bean" co-star Pamela Reed will also read to groups of kids. The program has 1,500 volunteers from SAG, the American Federation of Radio & TV Artists and Actors Equity who read to 45,000 students in 800 schools each week.
