Baseball Hall of Famer Jim "Catfish" Hunter was unconscious and in critical condition Tuesday after falling and hitting his head. The 53-year-old former pitcher, who suffers from Lou Gehrig's disease, fell Sunday while negotiating cement steps outside his home in Hertford, N.C. Hunter was in serious condition Monday but was downgraded to critical and placed on a ventilator after he lost consciousness. "We need everybody's prayers right now, and we need them strong," said Hunter's wife Helen.
