Bob Herbert, 57, the man behind the Spice Girls, was killed in a car accident two days ago. Herbert, who brought the Spice Girls together (they later fired him) and more recently managed the teen pop group Five, was killed instantly Monday afternoon in a London suburb, according to Five's record company. Herbert died after he lost control of his car during a rainstorm and ran into another vehicle. Two people in the other car were injured. "We were all shocked and saddened to hear the news," the Spice Girls said in a statement. "Our deepest sympathy goes out to his family. We know he will be sadly missed."
