'Sixth Sense' First

It was deja vu at the weekend box office as "The Sixth Sense" took in $26.1 million to remain the nation's top movie -- the first film since "Phantom Menace" (in May) to repeat as No. 1. The new ghostly thriller starring Bruce Willis as a therapist treating a boy who talks to the dead grossed $70 million in its first 10 days. The Steve Martin-Eddie Murphy comedy "Bowfinger," about a luckless producer who tries to con his way into big-time show business, bowed in at No. 2 with $18.2 million in its first weekend. Two other movies had disappointing debuts: "Brokedown Palace," with Claire Danes and Kate Beckinsale, and "Detroit Rock City" (which didn't even make the Top 10).

4. "Runaway Bride," $14.2 million.
5. "The Thomas Crown Affair," $10.2 million.
6. "Deep Blue Sea," $6.7 million.
7. "Inspector Gadget," $6.2 million.
8. "Mystery Men," $4.9 million.
9. "Brokedown Palace," $4 million.
10. "Iron Giant," $3.8 million.
