Michael J. Fox, who on Tuesday announced his departure from "Spin City," explained his decision in a TV interview. "It was really a choice," said Fox, who is suffering from Parkinson's disease. "I knew that I could certainly do another year but at the expense of some of the things I wanted to do." He added that he had been thinking about leaving the ABC sitcom for some time but finally reached his decision while on a holiday break. Fox, 38, told "Access Hollywood" that he was "fine" with the idea of the show going on without him (ABC has not yet made a decision). He's now concerned with finessing his character's exit. "We're going to take advantage of the fact that we have this great thing between my character and co-star Heather (Locklear), and we'll take that somewhere."
